About the Congolese Foresters Network

The Congolese Foresters Network (Réseau Congolais des Forestiers) was founded in 2007 by General Coordinator Mr. Elikia Amani, with a group of concerned individuals from diverse professions who shared in the mission of conservation and sustainable management of natural resources at a local level.

The Congolese Foresters Network is a recognized nongovernmental humanitarian organization of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, No. JUST.G.S.112/SKV/2624/2008, issued on December 6, 2008; and No. 02/MINIPLAN/ DPP/NK/KMA/2009, issued on June 2, 2009, by the Provincial Division of Justice, Minister of Justice, as an association nonprofit by the Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Tourism, granted favorable opinion of the Democratic Republic of Congo and published in the official journal.
